What is the battery life like on the GPD MicroPC 2?
While stress testing the GPD MicroPC 2 on full load at full brightness at 10W TDP we got a battery life of around 1 hour 42 minutes. Average usage will of course be higher, in the range of 4 to 6 hours. You can also lower the TDP to improve battery life.
Does the GPD MicroPC 2 have a touch screen?
The GPD MicroPC 2 has a touch screen. It can also be used with a capacitive stylus (not an active stylus).
Does the GPD MicroPC 2 support external displays?
The GPD MicroPC 2 has a dedicated HDMI 2.1 port for output direct to a TV or monitor. You can also use the USB Type-C port to output to up to three monitors with an appropriate hub. We have tried a triple monitor setup via USB-C and one additional monitor via HDMI for a quad monitor setup.
What is the screen size and resolution of the GPD MicroPC 2?
The GPD MicroPC 2 has a 7″ LTPS 1080P (1920×1080) display, 60Hz refresh rate
Can I connect an eGPU to the GPD MicroPC 2?
The GPD MicroPC 2 has a USB 3.2 Type-C port which supports up to 10Gbps data transfer speed. While it is possible to connect an eGPU such as the GPD G1, you would not get the full benefit of USB 4 (40Gbps) which will reduce the performance. You would however see a vast improvement on GPU related tasks with an eGPU.
Can I use the GPD MicroPC 2 for gaming as well as work?
The GPD MicroPC 2 is not a gaming device but it is possible to player lower demanding or older games and emulators. You can connect any USB or Bluetooth joystick.
Can I upgrade the storage on the GPD MicroPC 2
You can increase the storage on the GPD MicroPC 2 up to 4TB M.2 2280 SSD. As a note, we do offer upgrades up to 4TB when purchasing from us.
