Se non desideri effettuare un reset di fabbrica del tuo PC portatile da gioco o mini portatile GPD, puoi in alternativa eseguire una reinstallazione completa di Windows. Questa guida su come reinstallare Windows sul tuo GPD ti mostrerà passo dopo passo il procedimento da seguire.
Cosa ti serve #
Avrai bisogno di una chiavetta USB da 16GB o più grande su cui copiare il set up di Windows. Scarica il file .ISO di Windows corretto per il tuo dispositivo. Se il tuo dispositivo non è visualizzato o il link per il download non funziona, contatta il nostro servizio clienti.

Avrai anche bisogno di Rufus per creare la chiavetta USB avviabile. Puoi scaricarlo da qui, oppure la versione di GPD da qui.
Prepara la chiavetta USB #
Dovresti avere Rufus e il file .ISO di Windows per il tuo dispositivo GPD. Carica Rufus e, se richiesto, clicca su Sì per continuare.
Nella casella a discesa del dispositivo, seleziona la tua chiavetta USB. Controlla due volte che sia l’unità corretta perché i dati verranno cancellati da essa.
Successivamente, seleziona il file ISO cliccando sul pulsante SELEZIONA .
Controlla di aver selezionato la chiavetta USB corretta e poi clicca sul pulsante START .
Se sei sicuro che tutto sia corretto, premi OK per iniziare il processo.
Clicca su OK per procedere
Il processo durerà circa 20 minuti, più o meno veloci a seconda della velocità della tua chiavetta USB. NON rimuovere la chiavetta USB fino al completamento del processo.
Al termine potrai espellere la chiavetta USB in tutta sicurezza.
Installazione di Windows #
Inserisci la chiavetta USB in una porta USB del tuo GPD. Accendi il dispositivo e premi ripetutamente il tasto F7 della tastiera fino a visualizzare il menu di avvio. Seleziona la chiavetta USB dal menu e premi Invio.
Il dispositivo si riavvia e carica il software dalla chiavetta USB. Questa operazione potrebbe richiedere qualche istante.
Spunta la casella di controllo Formatta disco e inserisci le dimensioni della memoria del tuo dispositivo che sono indicate sul lato sinistro. Puoi scegliere la modalità firmware di fabbrica come opzione. Successivamente, premi il pulsante START per iniziare.
Inizierà quindi il processo di installazione di Windows, prima copiando i file e poi applicandoli. Il processo durerà circa 20 minuti; non spegnere il dispositivo e non rimuovere la chiavetta USB fino al termine del processo. Una volta completato, ti verrà notificato che il dispositivo si riavvierà.
Il dispositivo potrebbe riavviarsi una o due volte e impiegherà un po’ di tempo in più del solito per avviarsi; questo va bene e in seguito tornerà alla normale velocità di avvio.
Dopo qualche istante, verrà visualizzata la schermata di configurazione di Windows. Segui le indicazioni per configurare Windows.

GPD obviously trying to take itself seriously with those prices… so my question is: Why not take their customers seriously then? Why not release their own driver packages and get a DECENT fix for a problem that has been around for months? Why make everyone who paid good money jump hoops and mess around with shady windows installers that you anyway can’t get downloaded because it’s on a… google drive? I take it back. GPD isn’t taking anything seriously, we just threw money in the bin.

Hello I had trouble installing latest windows updates so I did a clean fresh install of windows using official windows and flash drive and now I have bsod while installing windows. Please help gpd support
We would recommend first installing the GPD version of Windows which has all the drivers included. There are different installs depending on your model, please find it at https://gpd.hk/download and download from there.
I tried updating my win mini 7840u to windows 24H2 through windows installation assistant, and now it won’t boot up. It either freezes on the GPD logo or goes into the blue repair mode screen. I tried reseting windows through there or reverting the update but it didn’t help. Will reinstalling windows with this method work?
The latest Windows updates seems to be causing issues with some PCs, not just GPD devices. If you are unable to reset windows or doing an update rollback, then reinstalling Windows is probably the best option. Hi – the instructions have an ISO as the item to use in Rufus, but the download for the GPD Pocket 3 1195G7 is a zip file. How can I use that zip file with Rufus or should I use that zip to create an ISO before creating the bootable media?
The .ISO is inside the .ZIP file which is an archive format. On Windows, you can right click on the file and select “Extract” to get the .ISO file.

I had the same problem downloading the Win11 ISO from GPD. I finally got the Win11 installer set up in my USB drive through https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11, I chose “Create Windows 11 Installation Media”
