Si no quieres restablecer de fábrica tu PC portátil o miniportátil GPD, puedes hacer una reinstalación completa de Windows. Esta guía sobre cómo reinstalar Windows en tu GPD te mostrará el proceso paso a paso.
Qué necesitarás #
Necesitarás una memoria USB de 16 GB o más para copiar en ella la configuración de Windows. Descarga el archivo .ISO de Windows correcto para tu dispositivo. Si no aparece tu dispositivo o el enlace de descarga no funciona, ponte en contacto con nuestro servicio de atención al cliente.

También necesitarás Rufus para crear la memoria USB de arranque. Puedes descargarlo desde aquí, o la propia versión de GPD aquí.
Prepara la memoria USB #
Deberías tener Rufus y el archivo .ISO de Windows para tu dispositivo GPD. Carga Rufus y, si se te pide, haz clic en Sí para continuar.
En el menú desplegable de dispositivos, selecciona tu memoria USB. Comprueba dos veces que es la unidad correcta, ya que los datos se borrarán de ella.
A continuación, selecciona el archivo ISO pulsando el botón SELECCIONAR .
Comprueba que has seleccionado la unidad USB correcta y pulsa el botón START .
Y si estás seguro de que todo es correcto, pulsa OK para iniciar el proceso
Pulsa OK para continuar
El proceso durará unos 20 minutos, más o menos dependiendo de la velocidad de tu memoria USB. NO retires la memoria USB hasta que el proceso haya finalizado.
Cuando hayas terminado, puedes expulsar el lápiz USB de forma segura.
Instalación de Windows #
Inserta la memoria USB en un puerto USB de tu GPD. Enciende el dispositivo y pulsa repetidamente la tecla F7 del teclado hasta que aparezca el Menú de Arranque. Selecciona la memoria USB en el menú y pulsa Intro.
El aparato se reiniciará y cargará el software desde la memoria USB. Esto puede tardar unos instantes.
Marca la casilla Formatear disco e introduce el tamaño de almacenamiento de tus dispositivos que se muestra a la izquierda. Opcionalmente, puedes elegir el modo Firmware de fábrica. A continuación, pulsa el botón START para empezar.
Entonces comenzará el proceso de instalación de Windows, primero copiando los archivos y luego aplicándolos. El proceso durará unos 20 minutos, no apagues el dispositivo ni retires la memoria USB hasta que haya finalizado. Una vez completado, se te notificará que el dispositivo se reiniciará.
El dispositivo puede reiniciarse una o dos veces, también tardará un poco más de lo normal en arrancar, esto está bien y volverá a la velocidad normal de arranque después.
Pasados unos instantes, aparecerá la pantalla de configuración de Windows. Sigue las indicaciones para configurar Windows.

GPD obviously trying to take itself seriously with those prices… so my question is: Why not take their customers seriously then? Why not release their own driver packages and get a DECENT fix for a problem that has been around for months? Why make everyone who paid good money jump hoops and mess around with shady windows installers that you anyway can’t get downloaded because it’s on a… google drive? I take it back. GPD isn’t taking anything seriously, we just threw money in the bin.

Hello I had trouble installing latest windows updates so I did a clean fresh install of windows using official windows and flash drive and now I have bsod while installing windows. Please help gpd support
We would recommend first installing the GPD version of Windows which has all the drivers included. There are different installs depending on your model, please find it at https://gpd.hk/download and download from there.
I tried updating my win mini 7840u to windows 24H2 through windows installation assistant, and now it won’t boot up. It either freezes on the GPD logo or goes into the blue repair mode screen. I tried reseting windows through there or reverting the update but it didn’t help. Will reinstalling windows with this method work?
The latest Windows updates seems to be causing issues with some PCs, not just GPD devices. If you are unable to reset windows or doing an update rollback, then reinstalling Windows is probably the best option. Hi – the instructions have an ISO as the item to use in Rufus, but the download for the GPD Pocket 3 1195G7 is a zip file. How can I use that zip file with Rufus or should I use that zip to create an ISO before creating the bootable media?
The .ISO is inside the .ZIP file which is an archive format. On Windows, you can right click on the file and select «Extract» to get the .ISO file.

I had the same problem downloading the Win11 ISO from GPD. I finally got the Win11 installer set up in my USB drive through https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11, I chose «Create Windows 11 Installation Media»
