eGPU fix for GPD HX 365 and HX 370 CPU based GPD devices

GPD has released a fix addressing an issue where eGPU docking stations, such as the GPD G1, were not functioning correctly via USB 4 or OCuLink. This fix applies exclusively to devices with AMD Ryzen 9 HX 365 and HX 370 processors. It is not intended for devices with the AMD Ryzen 8840U or earlier processors, as these models do not experience this issue. Using this fix on earlier models is not recommended.

To confirm again, it should only be used on the following models. If you are unsure which model you have and have purchased from us, please contact us for confirmation.

First, download the graphics_patch.rar file from here (backup link here). Since this is Windows kernel-level software, your browser or antivirus might block or warn you during the download. Please note that these files are safe and the warnings are false positives. Once downloaded, extract the files to your GPD device.

Now, run the AGC-Setup-1.0.6.exe file. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prompts you, select Run anyway to proceed.

Follow the prompts to install the software. When prompted to restart the computer, select the option to restart, then click Finish to reboot the device.

After rebooting into Windows, you will find an AGC shortcut icon on the desktop. Double-click it to launch the software, and you will see the main screen. Navigate to the Config GPU Feature tab.

Click the Replace Kmd Driver button to open the file selection dialog.

Navigate to the extracted files and select the amdkmdag.sys file.

Once the file has been imported and updated, a notification box will appear confirming the update and prompting you to reboot the device. You can verify the update by reviewing the text log displayed in the box. Click OK on the notification box, then choose Reboot OS or restart the device from the Start menu.

If after reboot you have a Windows 11 Home Test Mode message in the bottom right corner of your desktop. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type bcdedit /set testsigning off, then reboot.
