The GPD WIN MAX 2, available at the GPD Store, is an impressive Ultrabook that combines work and play in a single device. This Handheld Gaming PC boasts a high-performance AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor with eight cores and sixteen threads, capable of reaching up to 4.7GHz between a configurable 15W-28W TDP. The AMD Radeon 680M provides up to 2.2GHz of power, ensuring smooth visuals on the 10.1″ IPS touchscreen display.

Measuring a compact 8.9 x 6.2 x 0.9 inches (22.7 × 16.0 × 2.3 cm) and weighing just over a kilogram, the GPD WIN MAX 2 is highly portable and can easily fit into a laptop bag or case. This handheld gaming PC supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 MT/s RAM and up to 2TB of SSD, with an additional slot on the rear for up to 2TB m.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD.

The GPD WIN MAX 2 also comes equipped with full gaming controls, including dual hall effect sensor analogue sticks, a gaming D-Pad, and hall effect triggers. There are even two additional buttons on the back that can be configured to your liking. This Ultrabook also boasts fast WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, with optional 4G LTE support for mobile data.

The GPD WIN MAX 2 is powered by a 67Wh Li-polymer battery, which provides up to 14 hours of light use, 6-8 hours of moderate use, and 3 hours of heavy use. Plus, with a Thunderbolt 4 port, you can connect an external graphics card (eGPU) for even faster performance. There is even a built-in HDMI 2.1 for dual monitor display.

Great piece of tech, Better support from Droix!

Ordered the Win max 2 2025 370 + 32GB. Came within a little over a week. Had a little trouble with 1 pixel being dead. Droix sent a new screen ASAP. Can't go wrong with shopping here!

About the Win max 2 - The screen is sharp and pretty bright. The color accuracy isn't the greatest but you can change it with software. The sound isn't all that great either but have tried FxSound and it makes it better. Better being about par with the rog ally. The controller on the unit is ok. The joysticks are short but usable. There are 3d printed handles for the unit, they make a huge difference when using the controller.

The Keyboard is ok. I have about medium-ish sized hands and can type decently on it. Actually using the Win Max to write this review. Oh, the fan on it can be heard but it's like a big wind tunnel sound not a shrieking sound so a lot more tolerable than some other laptops that screech. Can also tone down the fan curve as well.

Not sure what else to say, I think the win max is worth the price. Especially with Droix having such great customer service! No meaningful complaints!

Win max 2 2025. Quality is on point, it works flawlessly. It is comfortable to hold and game on. Doesn't get too hot while gaming. Most people think it's a work laptop. Once my lte card arives I'll be able to use it anywhere

Hellish. They sent me a faulty unit. After RMA they sent the repaired unit to a different country

Last year I purchased a 2024 model. It arrived with damaged components, including screen and joysticks among others. I filed for RMA in December. They sent an inaccurate return label, leading the device to be held up at a post office for several months. They refused to furnish an accurate return label and so I had to arrange personally with UPS to return the package to me, and then I had to pay out of pocket for a new return label. After they received the unit, I had to pay Droix over $100 USD to repair components that they had previously assured me were covered by the 2-year warranty. After I paid, them they competed repairs. I provided them with my address-- from which I sent them the unit. Today I received notice that Droix has sent the repaired device to an altogether different country.

At the time of this review, neither customer support nor CEO has offered any clarity as to the status of my $1700 USD laptop. Caveat Emptor.

Upon receiving your returned device, our technicians identified signs of liquid damage. This was communicated to you at the time, as it affected the warranty coverage of the repair. We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially considering the circumstances around the initial shipping and label issues. Please know that we remained in contact throughout the process to provide updates as they became available.

We also sincerely apologize for the confusion surrounding the return address. While your RMA was approved a few months ago, and you had since provided an updated shipping address in Greece, our system initially defaulted to your original address. This oversight led to the parcel being shipped incorrectly. As soon as we realized the error, we immediately recalled the package and arranged for it to be resent to the correct address.

According to the latest tracking information, the package has now been successfully delivered, and we hope you are enjoying your device once again.
