Lets first take a look at the technical specifications for both the GPD Duo and ASUS Zenbook S14.

Both laptops feature 2.8K displays but of course the Duo has two. The Duo has 5Wh more than the S14 so there is not much difference here. In terms of processor, we see the classic AMD vs Intel, our following benchmarks will decide that battle. We see options of 32GB and 64GB RAM with the Duo, with only 32GB for the S14. Both models have 1TB or 2TB storage options. The GPD Duo sees a lower price range for its configurations compared to the S14.

The GPD Duo takes a 7% and 13% lead over the ASUS Zenbook S14 in the CPU-Z Single and Multi-core benchmarks.

Geekbench 6 benchmark comparison

In the Geekbench 6 benchmarks we see score differences ranging from 12% up to 27% in favour of the GPD Duo. Good results all round for it.

In the Geekbench AI benchmarks we see score difference from 86% up to 111% which is mainly due to the NPU performance of the HX 370 processor which alone can reach up to 50 TOPS, combined with the CPU it can total 80 TOPS. It is the AI performance we see a very clear winner.

Other device comparisons

Black Myth: Wukong

While the GPD Duo is not a gaming handheld, it can run the latest AAA games very well. In Black Myth: Wukong at 45W TDP we get 117 frames per second on the GPD Duo, and compared with the ASUS Tianxuan Air we get 73 frames per second. That is quite a significant increase in performance.

The GPD Duo and ASUS Zenbook S14 both feature impressive hardware, but there are notable differences in their technical specifications. The GPD Duo sports dual 2.8K OLED displays, while the Zenbook S14 has a single 2.8K OLED display.
