GPD WIN 5 FAQ

1 odpowiedźWill there be a smaller size battery for the gdp win 5? I have been using plugged in to be more comfortable with the weight but have run into issues with power fluctuating on mass transit. I would just like a small battery so the handheld doesn’t die in between proper coverage of power.
We do not have updates on releasing a smaller or lower-capacity battery for the GPD WIN 5 from the manufacturer. The current 80Wh modular battery was specifically designed to provide the necessary voltage and sustained power required by the high-performance AMD Ryzen AI Max processors. Since you prefer the handheld’s weight without the battery but need a buffer for power fluctuations, you might find the GPD WIN 5 Battery Cable Extender helpful. This accessory allows you to:
Reduce Handheld Weight: You can keep the battery in your bag or on the seat next to you while playing.
Maintain Power Stability: Even if the mass transit power flickers, the external battery remains connected via the cable, acting as a “UPS” (Uninterruptible Power Supply) so your device doesn’t shut down.
