First impression of the GPD win max 2 is great, it’s feels well built and premium with the aluminium shell. I purchased the 7840u variant, running windows 11 and for general use it feels smooth and responsive. It has a fantastic screen, the resolution can be changed to your liking, by default it’s at 2.5k res and it’s really crisp. Sound is surprisingly loud for a small device. I tried connecting to 4K tv at 60hz, it runs okay. Depending on what you’re running the 7840u can handle a lot, but at 4K 60hz obviously there are limits and performance dips the harder you push it, also fan will kick in. With the 780m integrated graphics it is surprisingly good, and testing with several games I am utterly surprised the performance it gives. Overwatch 2 runs no problems, sorry not much of a gamer but have tried some others like it takes 2, these run smooth. The battery does take a hit with the games, averaging about 2 hours game play, however if not gaming can last 6 hours or more with light tasks. It is convenient and I carry it everywhere I go, great item and worth the price. DROIX.co.uk is fantastic also, I put them amongst the best company to buy from.

Good customer service even through the Christmas period with top quality products. Not 5 star as there was some confusion/complication around the pre-order of my GPD Win Max 2 that meant I had to wait slightly longer than initially indicated.

just got this recently and must say i mightily impressed ! super fast delivery from droix and comes with a 2 year warranty which was a good reason for my purchase from droix,looked online for one of these but ordering from china and worrying about returning it if anything went wrong was a big worry especially as this thing costs more than a grande ! anyway im very happy so far its a massive step up from my already advertised steamdeck for sale,games run and look brilliant on this thing so thanks very much droix and hopefully this thing will last without any problems

Great gaming laptop, don’t let the size fool you, threw a few aaa titles at this laptop plays with ease. Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, GTAIV, Ghost of Tsushima. Games with controller support work best due to the controllers built in to the laptop, Games recognise these controls as a Xbox controller so no need to bind keys. Battery as with other gaming laptops is subject to what game you play something like cyberpunk 2077 was 2-3 hours. Battery power vs direct power in gaming performance is not noticeable at this early stage time will tell how the battery performs. It feels well built so should withstand the test of time. There are lots of little touches that are useful like a switch to toggle from game pads to mouse, The keys light up, some users have reported the Touch pad is awkward but I’ve found it to be in a useful position. If you’re looking for the best of the best for handhelds look no further.

Shipping was fast from Droix, It was well packaged. The free case was a nice and welcome touch.

Short review version - buy it!
Longer review version - it's very well made, feels sturdy and all the buttons are great. It's very fast and updating it was a simple process.
It plays games brilliantly with no lag and doesn't overheat. I got the 64g 4TB version and I would totally recommend it. The included case is very high quality as well.
Coupled with droix's usual excellent service, it's really easy to recommend.

Great selection of useful ports, extra SSD slot etc. leave larger equivalently specified PCs in the dust. The layout of the joypads and the trackpad is a little odd, but understandable.

A higher refresh rate screen would be nice, and case design is a little non-descript, but overall very pleased with the device.

It is a greap product, works well and is powerful, compact and portable

Almost a month on, I am still, on the daily, in awe with this device. It's truly beautiful and aesthetic but also a powerhouse, very flexible in its use cases, light, amazingly good cooling system, very good quality screen. It's just amazing, and the screen size is a perfect middle ground. It still fits in my flexible jeans pockets.

DroiX has also been just extremely kind and patient and thoughtful in their communication both via email and discord. Amazing communication, very friendly, very flexible and open. The perfect classic example of a small-ish business that actually cares about providing good customer service to its customers.

It's also an expensive device so you don't want to be stuck with a literal paperweight/brick if anything you cannot replace dies (i.e. everything on the motherboard other than storage/LTE) especially if bought off of IGG. NOT worth the risk. Fortunately, DroiX is also just really quick, nice, professional and also friendly.
