GPD MicroPC 2 — Awesome

Amazing device, super ergonomic, 10/10 display (feels bigger than I thought it would've!!!). Keyboard is small but surprisingly good, in my experience: thumb/normal typing are the same speed on this device, I get about 35 words/minute with either. This completely replaced my Steam Deck! Runs games well (tbh my standards for settings are low). For gaming, I'd HIGHLY recommend a mouse for 3-D games (trackpad is good, but only for 2-D stuff). Came with a laptop charger, fyi, which is very solid (not sure wattage but it charges well :p). the tent/tablet mode is sooo cool for consuming media (movies/videos, etc.), because of the solid build, fyi the fans feel so nice on your hands if your holding it in tablet mode. Overall, 10/10 device, would recommend massively

Micro PC 2 is A-Mazing!

This little dude is the best device for work with Windows 11 Pro! I have 2 external monitors, keyboard, mouse, and camera when docked for meetings and then it is super portable for on the go or when traveling. Remarkably fast for the size. I am suprised that 16gb of RAM is working well so far. Would welcome 32gb option in the future. The only game I play on it is Wingspan with the high-res touchscreen. 👍 Great job GPD, I LOVE ❤️ the MicroPC 2! 😁

Amazing Device

Form factor, speed, battery life, everything is amazing. As someone who enjoyed hardware keyboards in phones (G1, droid, etc...) it feels very natural to type on. I originally planned to use it as a utility device, but I enjoy it so much it's become my personal "tablet." I'm trying out the stock windows experience before I installed arch on it.

It’s very easy to find accessories for other GPD devices. I’ve been trying to find a clear acrylic hard shell for my GPD Micro PC 2 but I can’t find one anywhere online. I already own the hard zip case listed in the shop but I’d prefer a clear shell instead. Is it possible for some to be made? I don’t own a 3d printer or have a way of making one myself.

Unfortunately there are no clear acrylic cases that we know of. Because it is a realtively niche market, its probably not cost effective for them to be manufactured on a large scale.

I've bought the GDP MicroPC2 and it arrived today. but the package did in fact not include a power plug for EU as advertised when i bought it. ok this is slightly annoying but oh well.. especially in the EU often devices now come without a charging brick.

so i tried out the device thinking i'll look for a charger later. but the device won't charge with ANY of a dozen usb-c chargers. not even with my powered USB hub that has "high power" ports.

so chargers for iphones/ipads etc nothing works. so my device is now on under 10% power and i shut it off. please send me the EU charging brick since i only got a cable. or otherwise send me an amazon link for a compatible charging brick for this device.

from what i've seen this is a neat little low-powered device just like i wanted but if i can't power it up its useless.

please help.

The GPD MicroPC2 requires a specific type of power source to charge: a 45W USB Power Delivery (PD) charger with an output of 20V at 2.25A.

Unfortunately, most standard phone and tablet chargers—even those for iPhones and iPads—don't have this high-wattage and voltage output. This is likely why the device didn't charge with any of your existing cables or hubs.

Is it possible that we could get some hard shell cases for the Micro PC 2? I'd love a transparent shell to put on the laptop.

I want to buy this,but before that. Are both prossessors and all storage capacities etc giving the same battery life. I will not game but use for music notation program sibelius and text programs.

There is no significant difference in battery runtime between models with different storage capacities for everyday non-gaming tasks.

Will the older MicroPC cases work with the MicroPC 2 or will new cases be coming out in the future?
