I’ve adjusted all the settings and resolutions and the results are still the same, the fps is around 30 to 40, there’s no change even though I activated AMD FSR, the performance feels really bad compared to my laptop’s dedicated GPU even though this GPU is much more powerful. Please help and advise. FYI I’m still using USB 4
Have you checked that the game is also using the correct graphics card. Go into the game settings and check it is not using the internal graphics. If you still have issues, and you purchased the GPD G1 from us at GPD STORE, please email [email protected] with your order number and some details. Our customer service will be able to provide further assistance.
The performance of the GPD G1 decreases in some game cases such as 20 to 45 fps, even though the 3dmark graphic benchmark score obtained is 25000, currently using the USB 4 port, please advise regarding this problem.
Check out our GPD G1 getting started guide at https://gpdstore.net/kb/accessories-support-hub/kb-article/getting-started-with-the-gpd-g1-egpu-docking-station/ . In particular check the games graphics settings and resolutions are within the recommended settings for the graphics card. For example running a AAA game at 4K Ultra settings is going to cause slowdowns in games. You would need to change the graphics settings until you get a stable frame rate.
It is, but you can connect via the USB-C port only and not OCuLink as the Claw does not have this port. You may see a small difference in performance when using USB-C compared with OCuLink.
Thanks for the response. Apple states that Boot Camp with Windows does not support any eGPUs. However, I know that the community got many builds work using custom drivers. That was what I intended to know.
im havingh a weird problem, i have both the 2023 version and the 2024. the 2023 version shows me support on amd freesync but the 2024 does NOT show me support for amd freesync, whats going on?
I believe it will not work for the internal display, only for external monitors. Check that your monitor supports this and that you have selected it in the AMD software to access the settings.

Is the GPD G1 compatible with the MSI Claw A1M?
Thanks

Is there any information about its compatibility with Intel MacBook Pros, especially in BootCamp Windows mode?

Will this work with my Razer 17 inch laptop without an external monitor?
If it has a USB 4 port then it should work
