Hi I am having an issue where the built in SD card reader has stopped working completely, windows doesn’t see it at all. Has anyone else had similar issues?
Were you using a SD Card at the time? Anything happened when it stopped working that might indicate what the cause is? (Say: copying a large amount of files between the internal store and the SD Card?)
Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue: Check Device Manager:
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Look under Disk Drives, Memory technology devices, or Universal Serial Bus controllers for your SD card.
If it’s not listed or has a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Scan for hardware changes or try updating the driver.
Use Disk Management:
Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
Check if your SD card appears here.
If it shows up without a drive letter, right-click and choose Change Drive Letter and Paths.
If it shows as “Not Initialized” or “Unallocated,” the card may need to be formatted (please back up any data first). Run DiskPart:
Open Command Prompt by pressing Win + R, typing cmd, and pressing Enter.
Type diskpart and press Enter, then type list disk to see if the SD card is listed.
Check Event Viewer:
Press Win + X and select Event Viewer.
Go to Windows Logs > System and look for errors related to the SD card reader or USB hub.
Run the Hardware Troubleshooter:
Press Win + R, type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic, and press Enter.
Follow the steps to diagnose any hardware-related issues.
If the SD card is still not recognized after trying these steps, and if you purchased your DUO from DROIX or GPD Store, reach out to us.
Does the Duo have to ability to pop the SD card out when you push it in, or do I have to use tweezers to take it out each time? I can push the SD card in until it’s flush but, it’ll read but it is a pain to remove.
It is a push in/push out slot so you will not need tweezers to pull it out. Once you push it with say your fingernail, it will pop up a little and is easy to remove with your fingers.

How’s the compatibility with the Linux kernel? I plan to run it with the mainline kernel if I get one.
We have not tried Linux on it yet. Its something we may look into in the future.
how do i turn off the back screen when using with 1 screen?
Press the F3 key to enable/disable the top display.
Can the user change the wifi module? Or is it baked onto the motherboard?
Based on the pre-production model that we have, it is not replaceable.
Does it support S3 sleep?
It does not support S3 Sleep.
