What a great model! It's great and I love it, but even with the amd 890m. It struggles with heavy games. Games that can run easily and smoothly on the steam deck, which has a lot less power. This is because of the operating system. If there could be a choice to choose bazziteOS or the official steamOS (when it soon releases) would make the system and games, run a whole lot better! Other than that. This is a quality product!

I've had no complaints with performance or functionality out of this unit since it arrived.

Win Max 2 is realy interesting gaming handheld, which works just like notebook. It fit perfectly in hands, though need to get used to buttons, because not like on standart controller, buttons not higher than joystick, they just straight to the right. Also it heavy, it is better if you have where to put your elbows. Also, what i really like, it have 2 usb b ports. I had before asus rog ally, and for me that there was no free usb port when charging, was discomforting. Also that it have build in keyboard and touchpad is really comfortable, keys are big enough, so it hard to missclick. Though, it dont have comfortable utility for power/ performance settings like asus ally (armoury crate). It have motion assisstant which have not best user oriented interface. If you considering on buying one, you need to make sure, that you not afraid of some little programing, manually download and install drivers and need to get used to use all shourtcuts for amd adrenalin and other performance related utilities

Variety of options with this small laptop/ handheld pc.Has oculink port for graphics expandability down the future. Light weight with good battery life.

First things first, i love the GPD WINAX 2. I know this company since the first GPD handheld which was an android based emulation device, loved it!
Once i received the win max 2 i had a little bit of trouble with the stability of the system, experiencing random crashes when i let the device idle but now when i was gaming, weird i know. Their support team was more than helpful and patient in offering real solutions such as changing certain settings in the BIOS and so. After some tweaking by both, their team and yours truly i was able to get stability in the device, and honestly i can't be more happy with it.
The Win Max 2 is a little beast, handling heavy games such as Elden Ring without breaking a sweat, my ROG Zephyrus and Lenovo Legion make much more noise and get hotter than this baby.
If you decide to get it, you may need to do some firmware and software tuning but if you are patient and willing, you will end up with a great device, also don't be afraid of reaching out to their support team, they are very helpful!
